Frida the Corn Goddess
Guess I'm stuck on "triptychs". (A triptych is a work of art which is divided into three sections, or three carved panels which are hinged together and folded) Frida is my muse, so it was pretty easy to create art with Frida. I really like her headdress, its made from a found piece of 50's jewelry and her robe is also vintage jewelry. I also wanted to use some very rich colors, so I used purples and turquoise. When I finished this piece, Frida looked like an America Indian legend about the Corn Goddess that I had read in a Joseph Campbell book. So here she is, hope you like it.
