Faerie Lantern - alt mache
"alt mache" is a term I invented that means my papier mache creations are directed by the "random" things I find.  I find these "random" things like small tables, or beds, or even this lantern, which I "alter" and add a papier mache person to, so there you have it, "alt mache".

I have news from the world of Gozer.

Random Crazyness from Absolute Strangers!
Went to an Art Faire recently, which shall remain nameless.
Lady came into my booth, looked at my Skele-Mermaid Sisters and asked
"How did you make this?"  I said, "Oh, um...papier mache fins, um...body with glitter,  painted the shadowbox...  Believe me I was trying to answer her, I wasn't being mean or vague.
Then she demanded, yelling, "NO, HOW DID YOU MAKE THIS!!"
Then I said, "What?" still not angry, I just felt I wasn't understanding what she wanted!
So she turned on her heel and STOMPED OUT!
Weird or what, someone please explain that one to me!

Dragonfly - a la papier mache

Dragonflies, I've always liked Dragonflies in a kind of "their colors are beautiful, their shapes are streamlined and their presence is ethereal", but if one flies near me, or heaven forbid lands on me, it's a running screaming (not very attractive) Freak Out, with sugar-water having to be administered!

So I guess I made these Dragonflies so I could actually touch them and have them fly near me.
